Christmas time.

Hank really enjoys laying wherever the dogs do. After they leave the house, of course.

Hank moves in.

Who are you? Who, who? Who, who?

I watched CSI for about 5 or 6 hours today. However, I feel like I have an excuse. My mom and I woke up feeling incredibly sick, and stayed on the couch until it was time to pick Elijah up from school. I got him, went to the library, and headed home to reunite with the couch.

Can I just mention how annoying whistling is? I really cannot stand it. Luckily for me, someone in our house loves to whistle. I won't name names.

One test left

I have one test left, and then the semester is over. Awesome. Ok, that isn't quite true. I still have one more project for my online math class, but that will be cake. This is the last time I will have to come to campus in 2008. I'm just sitting here before my biology final, wasting time. I don't have anywhere else to be, so why not blog?

What is new? Let's see...

Last night we started putting up the Christmas tree. Elijah had to go to bed before we were able to finish, so we left it alone and will finish it with him tonight. I love our tree. My mom always has such classy decorations. The past few years, she has been in a bird phase. She keeps finding these vintage (I think) bird ornaments.

Steve has been gone for a few days now. Part of me thinks that I am doing ok. The other part knows that it just hasn't kicked in yet. It still doesn't feel real. In the meantime, I am taking part in beauty therapy. I've waxed, I'm getting my nails done, I bought some makeup and a few magazines, and if I could afford it I would get my hair done.

I really need to start Christmas shopping. I've got my mom's present. Now I need to get something for Bri, Elijah, and my dad. And something for Bri's birthday.

I have more pictures, but since I'm at school I won't be able to post them. Maybe later tonight after we finish the tree. Or tomorrow, since I have nothing to do all day. No more school!

The first day...

So, I decided to start this blog to keep track of what goes on in my life, and to keep people updated on things. As of right now, I have two more days left of the first semester of my first year of college. I'm currently avoiding writing my final paper, which is due tomorrow morning. After this semester ends, I'll just be working and hanging out around the house.

Steve left for BMT yesterday, and offically arrived on the base today. He was able to call me twice yesterday, once he got to the hotel, and again for a quick goodnight. My phone woke me up this morning at about 4:45am, which was a pleasant suprise. I was able to talk to him until about 5 o'clock, when he had to leave for the bus. The bus took them to MEPS (military entrance processing station) and after signing the final papers, he took a plane to TX. To my suprise, he was able to call me from the airport, while he was waiting for his drill instructor. That made my day. I was so shocked I almost cried (happy tears, I promise). I don't know when I will get to talk to him next. I can write, but phone calls are whenever the instructors feel like it.

I guess my life will be working, hating my job, looking for another job, and missing Steve. Of course there will be other things, and I hope to find something to fill my time, but those are the big things that come to mind.
